I have a P3 700MHz with 384mb ram and 140GB storage with a GeForce4 Ti4600. I recently did a clean install of XP. Odd thing is when it loads the background, startmenu, system tray, etc....the icons take a good 2 mins or so to show up. Any ideas how to fix that? I've tried using Bootvis and NTFS reg update and several tweak techniques.....nothing helped. I know its not the speed of the machine because I used to have XP on this machine before I formatted and it ran fast with no delays such as this... any suggestions will be helpful. Thanx.

Ep, glad to see you come back and tidy up...did want to ask a one day favor, I want to enhance my resume , was hoping you could make me administrator for a day, if so, take me right off since I won't be here to do anything, and don't know the slightest about the board, but it would be nice putting "served administrator osnn", if can do, THANKS

Been running around Quora lately, luv it there https://tinyurl.com/ycpxl
