Shutting down sevices in dos

Is there a way to shut down services from dos?

I need to shut down fast user swiching to access my machine from work but all I have to work with is dos 🙁

DOS? The XP/2000 command prompt? The recovery console?

which do you mean?

why don't you ask the systems administrator to do it for you?

should do it (if its not been disabled by admin)
