Setting a path in XP?

Excuses if this has been cleared elsewhere, between the search engine and myself, we couldn't come up with a solution, so here goes:

In Win2k I can set a path in ControlPanel->System->Advanced->Middle button (I'm not using english versions).

Trying to do the same thing in XP isn't possible on my machine. Anybody feel like explaining this to a networkking newbie?

if you mean setting environmental variables its almost in the same place in xp....right click my computer -> click the advanced tab -> now at the bottom there is a button called "Environmental Variables"...just click that baby and ur good to go.

Thanks. It's called the equivalence of enviromental variables in Swedish, but I just didn't trust Ms' translators enough to assume it was a direct translation.
