I dont know what yr talking about language settings. They are always in english.

Zedric, did u try to contact D-Link? Their support sucks but still.

SNMP was created to allow Simple Large Network Management but there are several vulnerablilities in SNMP see here
Granted D-Link doesn't appear to have these problems.

The reason I said the language stuff was because Zedric and SmokingWeed3000 mentioned not using the new flash due to your location in the world. So, I concluded it could be a language option.

As to SNMP unless your in charge of a WAN there is no need to have it running. Though I understand fully why you'd like to toy around with it. I love playing around with those things too, including managable switches, hubs, and routers. It gives you worthwile experiance and bragging rights. In the end when all is said and done every "extra" protocol, etc. running on your network connected to the Internet opens more holes in your network defences. (Note: this probably was discussed in securities section)

Yeah I contacted D-Link but they never responded to my mail. I guess I'll have to try again.

I think I'm going to start a new thread about the SNMP problem. I shouldn't hi-jack this one.

I'll just gather up my info first.
