REgain access to my folder

Hi ,
I have lost my mobo. Bought and new one and installed. Had to buy and SATA HDD also. Problem is , i have a folder on my second HDD that only i had permissions to.(computer on a home network). Now this is the only folder that i cannot access. I know there was a thread on here but cannot find it. Can some one explain how to get access or post the link please?
