I was wondering what are some good ram optimizers. I know there are a bunch out there, but what are some of your personal favorites, that do a good job, and have lots of options.
What he said ^^
Most memory "optimizers" just free up your RAM by dumping the contents into the pagefile, and since hard disk access is much slower than accessing RAM, it only leads to performance degradation in the long run.
They aren't much use really, with todays systems having quite a bit more memory then they used to. And XP is good at sorting memory out, unlike windows 98 etc which at best was rubbish!
Also Hi EP and people. I found this place again while looking through a oooollllllldddd backup. I have filled over 10TB and was looking at my collection of antiques. Any bids on the 500Mhz Win 95 fix?
