ok i gotta 56kps modem but EVERYTIME i connect to the internet it is at 44kps
i have heard of peoples speed going up and down but mine doesnt
i have even changed isp's but it still stays at 44kps - its like something is blocking it from going higher

does anyone have any ideas of whats going on?

Thats just a stupid setting that dosent mean anything!

i know that its just that mine never changes it stays at 44kps constantly

It's probably just your modem outputting useless information. it will be something like "Optimum Modem Connection" and that will just tell you what your modem can do. it's like saying that if conditiond were perfect you would get this speed. but of course it doesn't say that, because that would explain things to you 🙂
