Quake2 & alt + tab problem...

This kind of problem.
Alt+Tab works with every other game expect Quake2, but why?
Any ideas? When i press alt + tab in q2, nothing happens...
I would be very pleassed if someone can help me...

Maybe

Quake2 uses open gl as far as i know and the game might be using insruction sets that might be different to other games. Using alt tab is a strenuous task for some pcs as it has to dump all the info from the ram and load the next window,

Yes I have the same problem with Quake2. When I had windows 2000 and 98 I could alt-tab out of quake2, but not in windows XP!

Any ideas? I use Default OpenGL (geforce3) setting.
