Programs just close instantly

I just wiped my entire mac (iBook G4) and reinstalled OsX 10.3.9. I did an entire hard drive erase. Now, I've installed several programs and almost as soon as the start to bounce in the dock they stop and don't open. Everything from Azureus to Adium. I've tried Transmission, BitTyrant, and Xtorrent. All of them give me the same response. When I do get Azureus to open I get this message "NoClassDefFoundError." From what I can understand that's a Java issue which I'm trying to deal without having 10.4. Any suggestions with the programs crashing?

Aside from making sure you got all your updates try repairing permissions. 🙂 It can sometimes do wonders.

wow, I'm an idiot. I didn't upgrade to 10.4. I thought I had the disk but couldn't find it. Thanks.
