Problems after recovering from spyware

ok im running on windows xp home edition. i jsut recovered from a major spyware infection. thats gone now. but so is my background. i right click on descktop, click properties, all i see is screen saver and settings. all the other tabs are gone. my gpedit.msc does not work. i cant updrade to ie 7. please help me.

Did you reinstall Windows or use System Restore?

well idk i let someone else try to clean it so idk wat he did.

Right side of line 285 on this page then click on Restore All Display Tabs.
You may find things on that site to fix your other problems as well.
