Hey guys,

On the majority of applications, such as Teamspeak, IRC, Outlook Express, whenever I click a link, they open up MyIE2. I stopped using that browser and began using Mozilla Firefox. I have that set as my default browser, but I don't want to completely disable MyIE2 either... how can I set it that whenever I click a link no matter the program, that only Firefox opens up?

you have to make firefox the default browser.

right click the start menue, explore all users, set programs and default

I don't know a quick way if you've already set it as the default. I've had to go through before into Windows Explorer->Tools->Folder Options->File Types and changed them to "open with" the browser I wanted. It's sloppy but it worked.

Already have Perris...

See, when you go to the file types, everything is already set to be opened by Firefox, html, htm etc... so that isn't it. Just some programs, Teamspeak, AIM, IRC... they always open up MyIE2, and there's got to be some registry tweaks or something to disable that. 🙁

open myie2 go to options go to new then uncheck open new window from local files

Eh, well AIM is opening links in Mozilla, that's a plus. Teamspeak however is still opening up links in MyIE2, I'm going to see what mIRC does.

Dunno where you found that file, but it works like a champ. Thanks man. 🙂

i made it just for you 😀

actually, i made it for a guy in the trillian forum the day before you posted... 🙂
