Prefetch Question

OK,
I have a IBM laptop celeron 700 MHZ, 312 MB ram.....Should I enable or disable the prefetch?? Will this enabled prefetch setting help or hinder my system performance?? I read it is only reccomended for PIII, 800mhz...512 ram???

xp needs prefetch to run smoothely, even if you have an abundance of ram...leave it enabled, and set it manually to 1.5x the ram
