Pop Up notice

Whenever I dialup I get the yellow speech bubble saying that I've now connected. It stays for around 20 secs. during it's existence I am unable to launch my VPN connection. I have to manually click on the Close button. I know it's hardly the end of the world but still a little annoying.

Does anyone know how to either get rid of it or reduce it's display time.

One simple way would be to remove the icon when you are connected.

To do this, go to your Network Connections panel right click on your connection name go to Properties and uncheck the "Show icon in notification area when connected".

No that's not what I want m8.

I want to still know when I'm connected I just don't need 40 seconds of reminders telling me so.

you want to dissable balloon tips, that tweak is one of the many on this thread...the problem is, that might not be the solution to the delay, but give it a shot
