ok i have xp pro, I put notepad down to my taskbar and know it's gone for good. I can't find it. But if i go to run and try in notepad it come's up. I would appreciated some help thanx mick.

Navigate to your Windows directory using Windows Explorer, find the file called notepad.exe, right click on it, select send to, and send it to the desktop as a shortcut. If you want it back in your accessories program group, you'll need to copy this shortcut to "Documents and Settings\User Name\Start Menu\Programs\Accessories."
