HI, I HATE TO BE PUSHY ABOUT ANYTHING, BUT, I'VE DONE SOMETHING REALLY STUPID...AT THE TIME IT WASN'T, BUT NOW IT IS!

I DELETED SOME WORDPERFECT FILES WITH HOMEWORK ASSIGNMENTS AND AS SOON AS I DO, AND EMPTY THE RECYCLE BIN, THE TEACHER SAYS HE DOESN'T HAVE THEM.

THAT'S WHERE YOU COME IN. . . DO YOU THINK YOU COULD FIND ME A SHAREWARE DATA RECOVERY PROGRAM??

I DON' T CARE IF IT ONLY HAS A ONE DAY LIMIT BECAUSE I'M GOING TO UNINSTAL IT RIGHT AFTER THIS ONE THING.

please?? :(

Thank you to whoever.

Does system restore restore documents???

I never knew that...cause it doesn't delete documents, when you roll back, so i thought it wouldn't restore them...

Dunno, I only use it when I'm messing with new drivers. I have all my documents on disks, programs and drivers, that I don't want to redownload, on zip disks and my hard drive imaged to dvdrw :D

:)

Yeah, I just recently used it for a bad NT driver, that wouldn't install and kept bugging me when I restarted the computer.

The only thing I don't like is that it restores your desktop background, and visual settings back the way they were when the checkpoint was created. That gets on my freakin' nerves.

Restore doesn't restore deleted files. Just drivers, settings, etc.

Why did you delete the documents in the first place? =) You should NEVER rely on your teacher to not lose your assignments until the end of the year. And while I'm at it, ALL CAPS = ANNOYING. VERY ANNOYING. DON'T DO IT IF YOU VALUE YOUR LIFE! :D

I have always used Ontrack EasyRecovery Pro
If its important, you will buy it :)
and it wont be 'completly' deleted until that particular sector is over written so dont take too much time

Ep, glad to see you come back and tidy up...did want to ask a one day favor, I want to enhance my resume , was hoping you could make me administrator for a day, if so, take me right off since I won't be here to do anything, and don't know the slightest about the board, but it would be nice putting "served administrator osnn", if can do, THANKS

Been running around Quora lately, luv it there https://tinyurl.com/ycpxl
