hello, ever since i installed a 286mb RAM card...for some reason, like every little while, my computer just freezes for no reason, and i have to restart my copmuter...so is there somthing i have to do to make it not freeze???

Seems like the thing you have to do is to remove the new ram...

I don't know much about RAM but if you have to different pieces of RAM they should be as identical as possible. sure you bought the right type?

Go into the bios and make sure it's configured right... Example: Installing pc100 in a computer set for pc133 will do this...

My computers got the FSB turned up so I have to run at pc100 and cas3 latency... Something else you want to check... Cas3 will lock up occasionaly if the bios is set for cas2...

hmm, i never went to the BIOS yet, i'll see if there somthing to fix it there,

Do you mean you've NEVER been in the bios?!?

If not do'nt start making changes until you're SURE of what they do...

Some wrong settings can keep your computer from even posting...
