It takes about 15 seconds for Outlook Express to load/open. Why is this and how do I fix it?

There is your problem. All Miscrosoft programs will run slower if you remove MSN

Sounds like you got too much in your inbox!!! It must load your whole inbox before ir opens and that includes deleted messages and sent messages 🙂 🙂 🙂

nope. empties the deletes on close and i delete everything I send after I send it.

I have always found outlook express to be a bit of a hog and a pain...... but seems at least in XP pro that it is not as bad as it was before win98se ....ok just tested it 8 seconds and I see my in box and I have nortons email protection scanning all incoming mail on outlook express two accounts so 8 seconds two accounts and email virus scanner ....... 😎
