Outlook email links

I'm sorry Hal...
Political User
I am using Outlook XP and it used to open all web links in emails in new explorer windows. But i've recently reinstalled and now it opens them in the last active window. Does nayone know how to get it back

also get this message when i try to view the contacts, so any help on that would be good

I had that same message.

I installed pfbackup.exe (Outlook 2002/2000 Add-in: Personal Folders Backup). When it backups your file it creates a "backup outlook.pst" file. I now did a fresh Windows XP SP1 Slipstream install and then installed Office XP Standard. Now I copied my "backup outlook.pst" into Outlooks XP's current folder and renamed the file outlook.pst, replacing the current outlook.pst file (the default on a new install). Going into Outlook everything looked just like it should, I had all my contacts and email. I tried to send an email and pick a name out of the contact list. Now I would get that message. After pressing ok an empty contact list would be displayed.

This is what I did to fix the problem:
1) I chose to repair and not save my settings.
2) I Imported the "backup outlook.pst" file using Outlook XP.

Now everything works.

I hope my explanation makes since.

Ep, glad to see you come back and tidy up...did want to ask a one day favor, I want to enhance my resume , was hoping you could make me administrator for a day, if so, take me right off since I won't be here to do anything, and don't know the slightest about the board, but it would be nice putting "served administrator osnn", if can do, THANKS
