opening an old mail in vista

I exported my old messages but vista won't recognize or open the file, I guess it's a differant format

is there a program that will open these messages or do I have to use an xp box.

vista mail, these messages were created in outlook

You'll need outlook to import them then 🙂

Like lord said. You will need to use outlook to import them. At which point you can export them again to a different file to import into windows mail if you like.

now to find a free copy of outlook to run on vista

very surprising vista mail doesn't come with a tool to reformat an exported file from outlook
