Nvidia Display Driver Version 2.8.3.2

I am using a Nvidia Riva TNT2- M64 with 32 MB SDR
I currently have driver version: 6.13.10.2312

I just had this "New Driver" download pop up on my Windows Update.

I do not know jack about drivers and video cards - but have read a lot of things on this forum about different drivers, etc for different cards - some "gotta download" and others "don't you dare download, it screwed up my puter"

Just curious - anyone know anything about this version of driver?

What's a good philosphy/rule of thumb regarding drivers?

Anyone got a link for me to get smart in this area?

Rule of thumb: If you are not having problems with the hardware in question, don't worry about it.

A good place to look at drivers and driver reviews for your card is voodoofiles .
