NVIDIA DetonatorXP

I recently downloaded the new driver for Nvidia for WindowsXP . . . when I tried to install it a message to the effect that it was not an authorized driver cleared by Microsoft and that it could cause problems with my computer.

My question is do I need the upgraded driver and if I do and I go and install the driver against my systems wishes will I be sorry I did.

Any help is appreciated,

Just means they haven't been thru the MS hardwar test, if you got them from nVidia, they should be fine.

i'm always paranoid and wait till the actual nvidia site says 23.xx, and it still says 11 even though 12 is on the ftp heheh

I am using the 42.86 det's on my geforce4 mx420 asus card .... and love them they are by far for me the best overall for all the games I play .... max payne, nhl 2002, nascar 4 , diablo 2 lod, tony hawk 3, morrowind, sof , harry potter 1 +2 , destruction derby, links 2003 , sims house party ( kids games are listed here also ) and all these are great with the 42.86's
