which of the following would provide the best security?
a. 100BaseTX
b. 100VG-AnyLAN
c. 100Base5
d. 100BaseFX

Generally there is no security advantage to the Etherent hardware transmission standards. BUT, using fiber carries some inherent improvement in security. You can easily do a hardware tap into a wired network with a clip on amplifier without breaking into the cable. Fiber is more difficult to handle, you have to cut into it nad then make a good splice.

Not worth the added cost of fiber unless you are doing classified work.

I would have to agree with LeeJend as usual. :p You can't just "jack" into a Fiber network w/out someone taking notice.

Also Hi EP and people. I found this place again while looking through a oooollllllldddd backup. I have filled over 10TB and was looking at my collection of antiques. Any bids on the 500Mhz Win 95 fix?
Any of the SP crew still out there?
