My Recycle Bin

I would like to know how to remove the recycle bin shortcut off by desktop? If that's possible? I mean where is it actually in my HD or does it reside on my desktop?! I know you guyz make think i'm weird but i would just like a answer. help will be appreciated, thanks.

If it's a 'Shortcut' as you say, then just right-click and delete it, in a way you're delteing a whole 16k from the Recycle Bin, how fun is that?

well that helps him delete the bin, i don't actually want to know how to delete the bin or know how to NOT delete the bin. is the icon on the dekstop a shortcut or the actual bin? if it's a shortcut i'll delete it. but i'm not very smart but i can't seem to find the answer to my problem in that post. thanks for the help though ice
