!!!My Mouse Is Gone!!!

Okay, i was using XP Pro and all was Ok then my mouse starts going nuts and opening apps whenever i float over them, then the mouse pointer just vanishes and i cant get it working again.

I have noticed that the Mice and Other Pointing Devices option in Device manager has now disappeared, along with my driver for my mouse. I have tried downloading Intellipoint from Microsoft for my mouse (its just a Basic Microsoft Mouse) but this dosent help.

Its NOT a virus as i first suspected cause ive scanned with an uptodated Norton AV and it checks out fine. I have also tried another mouse with no luck.

Any ideas????

Do you have the mouse icon in control panel, using classic view.

seems like a virus for me, but it could be the mouse pointer style thas has been fu..ed up. Try the classic view😎
