The one my dad has plays DVD+R

and DVD+RW provided the booktype it is burned as is DVDROM (DVD+R is automatically burned as DVDROM)

n/p We have a mustek player downstairs, plays DVD+r if I recall, along with svcd, vcd, mp3, la la la I'll get a model number and proper feature list tomorrow though, the damned house alarms on now, don't wana wake everyone up.

the toshiba one does look good, the other one i was looking at was Panasonic DVD-S75

thanks for that, i spotted the SONY DVPNS730 on that page which seems to play the most stuff and it includes rce at a reasonable price =)
