but i've been sent a music file to listen to.. but will not play in winamp. how do i get this working?

if its Musepack, then might want to look at this

You could also convert it to another format e.g. mp3, using dBpowerAMP Music Converter a whcih is free at http://www.dbpoweramp.com/dmc.htm

You would also need to download the codec from the same site to convert to or from this format: http://www.dbpoweramp.com/codec-central-mpegplus.htm

I'd guess it's a Musepack file. Do some reading up on it. Very high quality format. I highly recommend it.

-Do not convert into another format. Ever. Ever. Unless it is absolutely necessary (protable use). The quality loss is huge

Btw, Love the Akai up there too.
