MMX Mercury Icons

I have got the MMX Mercury Icons and I tried to use them in XP, I did download the XP versions of the icons, what do I need to do to be able to use them.

put them all in a folder.. and then right click on a program then properties.. then change icon.. then find that folder and pick the one u want

That only works for shortcuts, I want to apply the mercury @ symbol to MS Outlook using Microangelo, I get the attached message when I click apply
