It seems that Microsoft is no longer able to support Java as per court order - Kenles option to download the Sun/ Java might be your only option - besides I don't think that Microsoft have been allowed to up-date their java engine sinse late 90's.

I have used the the official java plug-in from sun and it worked great for me.
Thanks to kenles and thanks to all of you for your help
