Hi everybody :),

When I plug the device in the USB port, XP recognizes the new peripheric (supposed to be my MS Sidewinder Force Feedback 2 USB) as a Microsoft SideWinder Force Feedback WHEEL USB !!!!!!

How to make XP recognize my sidewinder?

I installed the VIA USB patch. I upgraded my VIA chipset with the last version.
My device is still recognized by XP as a WHEEL Force Feedback joystick. I'm wondering now if this joystick will not work with XP Professional (where as it is perfectly working with W98SE).

My device is precisely the following (it's written on this USB device):
Sidewinder Force Feedback 2 Joystick
Part number: X05-92622

Please does anybody has a MS Sidewinder Force Feedback 2 working fine fine with Windows XP Professional?

Thanks.

Ep, glad to see you come back and tidy up...did want to ask a one day favor, I want to enhance my resume , was hoping you could make me administrator for a day, if so, take me right off since I won't be here to do anything, and don't know the slightest about the board, but it would be nice putting "served administrator osnn", if can do, THANKS
