microsoft CD replacement

Ok OK, what if you have a Pre Made PC that came with no "restore cd" and you messed your computer up. Its has a product key on the back, can you spend the $29 and get a XP cd?

The XP key is not the same as a product number off the disk. Only way to find out for sure is call that number and ask. Most likely they will tell you to contact your system builder for a replacement.

^^^ it states that on the site i found. it HAS to be an actual M$ disc. even if "dell" sent an OS with your PC you will still need to go through dell.
