Making devices Vista compatible that are not?

Hello. I am new here. I have a question. My camcorder is not Vista compatible. I am unable to find an update to use it on vista. I know, it's really old. Does anyone know of a work-around? Thanks in advance for your help!

might help if you mention the model of the camera and the make, also what have you program have you tired using with Vista?
