Log-on screen in Xp

Last week when I log on to XP i just had my password box visible. Now there is a message saying I have one unread email messgae..

I don't use MSN messenger for email...so I uninstalled the program. The message still apears however...and I just want my old login with password box visible not any stupid message?

Any ideas? please please please

just get the powertoys for XP and use tweakui to remove the option for the mail notification. XP gets the mail different ways even if you aren't using hotmail or msn or any of those, it's kinda useless so it's safe to shut off
