Locking windows...

When I lock my computer in Windows XP, it always goes to the Windows 2000 style logon screen. I have tried everything that I can think of to get it back to the windows XP logon, but nothing seems to work. Does anyone know what could be wrong, something I am missing, registry setting, please help!!

If i'm right that's is the common screen when you lock it.

when my friend locks his computer, it goes to the xp logon screen, but mine goes to the windows 2000 type logon. He has also put a different logon screen so maybe that is why his does that???

If it's not going to your normal welcome screen it's because something happened that probably damaged that part of the logonui.exe. Try replacing the logonui.exe or such and see if that fixes it, just download one of the millions of them from themexp.org and use a program like Xp Logonui to apply it easily, that might fix it 🙂
