limiting bandwidth

i need to know if i can limit bandwidth to a network card that is "supplying" cable to my mums and my brother's pc
becasue i have to share a 3gb cap and that just sux

i am using windows XP and a hub to network each pc

what service do you have that only allows you a 3 GB cap????

So far no residential service I know enforces any type of cap except for some of the @home breakoffs (comcast, attbi..etc) which have a 3gb cap on NEWSGROUPS only...that is you can only download 3GB of newsgroup data every 3 days...but as for everything else there is no cap

so who's ya provider?

Nope. Windows Internet Connection Sharing does not support bandwidth throttling.

Actually in Portugal is quite commom a 3 Gb cap or sometimes even less. You have to pay extra for more.
