Is there a way to make my laptop monitor the monitor of my big desktop machine?

otherwise not a chance in hell.

you would have to get the wiring diagram of the 2 cable blocks, the correct voltages, etc. it's not viable.

lol and before you start introducing mr laptop to mighty mr screwdriver and his soldering iron buddy, consider buying a TFT monitor, thats all the laptop display is after all
