Why is the sig size rule for 70kb

It's like, been that way for like, forever, like ya know, like always.

frist off this is not thr thread for this but here it goes... the 70k limit is because without sigs could get out of control with huge file sizes. A limit has to be set since not all members have broadband connections nor should anyone have to wade through long downloads because some is using a 101k sig on a slow server... 70k is plenty and to compare with other forums (not something I like to do) it is very generous.
If you need help scaling your sig down PM and I will see what I can do.
