Javascript and other problems

I have a problem with NAV 2002 and Norton Firewall. After a few Norton products instalatations, I'm getting a few problems.

1) Javascrip doesn't work anymore. The problem is some applications buttons doesn't work : for example in the first NAV configuration screen, I click on "next" and nothing happen. In a lot of web pages, I don't get any response after I click in some buttons.(for example the delete in

2) the media player stopped working. I receive a memory address error

3) In the search window, I only can see the stupid assistan, but I don't get the search bar.

4) when I open the User window, I only get an empty window.

I know I should reinstall everything, but I'm going to upgrade my PC, so I want to wait a few weeks to install my system again.

I executed the command SFC /SCANNOW, but it was useless.

Any advice?

I hate to say it, but i think you're looking at at least a repair installation. Sorry i couldn't help out. You can use the upgrade feature... XP setup may or may not recognize the damage and offer you that solution w/o losing access to all your programs and stuff... i've used it before with no ill effect.

Hey EP! All good with me, applying for Microsoft MVP right now, should have done this a while ago.

Notifications don't work, I only found your response by coming back to hunt up some threads, if you want, give me your email address so we can keep in touch easier!

EP, glad to see you come back and tidy up...did want to ask a one day favor, I want to enhance my resume , was hoping you could make me administrator for a day, if so, take me right off since I won't be here to do anything, and don't know the slightest about the board, but it would be nice putting "served administrator osnn", if can do, THANKS
