does anyone know why my internet cookies, history and temporary internet files are saved in my c:\windows\ temp folder? (as well as in my documents and settings folder). its getting on my nerves and hate having to delete those files after cleaning my documents and settings folder. has this happened to anyone else and if so, how did you fix it? im using xp pro. Thanks

You can just right-click Internet Explorer, properties, delete the files there or change the settings so that it takes up 0mb. I think this should work...
