Hi all,

I friend of mine works in a small office with a few XP machines. They all fileshare amongst each other, no central server setup.

Anyways, One dude, before he quit this morning, deleted a whole bunch of files off his workstation before he walked out.

Buddy phoned and asked me if I knew if there is a way to somehow retrieve this info. Their office is in bad need of it, really bad.

Anyone got any ideas on what can be done, if anything? maybe any software that can perform this function?

Thanks in advance,

Heeter

I can second getdataback (carpo's first link) - don't think I have used it for this particular scenario before but I have had good luck with other recovery options on it.

Thanks Guys, for all your input,

The app in the first link did the trick.

Thanks again,

Hey EP! All good with me, applying for Microsoft MVP right now, should have done this a while ago.

Notifications don't work, I only found your response by coming back to hunt up some threads, if you want, give me your email address so we can keep in touch easier!

EP, glad to see you come back and tidy up...did want to ask a one day favor, I want to enhance my resume , was hoping you could make me administrator for a day, if so, take me right off since I won't be here to do anything, and don't know the slightest about the board, but it would be nice putting "served administrator osnn", if can do, THANKS

Been running around Quora lately, luv it there!
