Recurring IE6 & Outlook Express 6.0 problem under WINXP Pro.
Have done a "clean" install of IE 6.0 4 times in the last 3 months.
Each time about 2 weeks into the reinstall...IE 6.0 and Outlook Express 6.0 listings in the Add/Remove Programs section of the Control Panel just disappear..........
Reinstall IE 6.0 as noted the the Microsoft Knowledge Base....by editing the registry..................
IE 6.0 reappears in the Add/Remove listings...........BUT when you try to repair...in order to get Outlook Express back in the listings...the "add components" button is greyed out.....
The reinstall rountine works just fine for IE 6.0, but does not allow you to do a minimum install, to specifically request OE 6.0 to reinstall.
Any ideas would surely be appreciated.
