I want invisible icons

I don't like the look of icons cluttering my desktop, but like the ease of thier use. Is there a way to make them disappear until I hold down a key then go away again when I release. I really doubt this is possible but does anyone know if there is any thing close.

you can make them dissappear... dunno about the whole appear disappear thing with one key though... you can try programming in c++ and looping till you press the desired ch 🙂 but heck if i could do that I would not be using windows... 😀

btw to make them go away... right click on desktop > go to properties > desktop > customize desktop and then just choose the icons you want to keep and get rid of the ones you don't want...
