History Folder

There is a History folder under Docs and Settings/Local Settings that has subfolders with names like "Today", "Yesterday", "Three weeks ago".
Anyone know what generates this folder. Some of the things were links but other stuff was local. Is there a way to disable it?

Thats your internet explorer history , when your on IE and looking around the web it keeps a record of where you were, a stores it........ you can disable it from your web browser window

Tools/internet options/general/ look there is a setting near the bottom how many days you want to keep track of ..............
