Help - No Task Bar

hi, serious problems here, basically I have no explorer running or anything and I have no start menu or desktop icons, running xp proffesional, all help wanted

I tried to help, couldnt run GPEDIT.MSC to edit the user settings, 'taskbar and startmenu' control panel was also no help.

Well, just to get you into explorer, ctrl alt del, new task and browse to explorer to start it.

you're not alone,I just experienced the same problem
I had to get into another account(I couldn't remember the admin password) and i went to system restore and restored my computer back to a better time. works fine now. who knows why it did it in the first place.
