I have Windows XP Professional. I had this problem a few days ago one folder was corrupted, my computer shown me it was there but it couldn't be open. Somehow I managed to delete it, but every time when I try to empty the recycle bin he sends me an error message. "Error deleting File or Folder. Cannot remove folder: Cannot find the specified file. Make sure you specify the correct path and file name." How can I empty my recycle bin? Thanks in advance.

Well I had a demo of a game called Sudden Strike II. I saved my progress and there it was the save was not good it was corrupted. When I uninstalled that folder remained I thought if I could get it to recycle bin I would be able to delete it, but I wasn't.

Get the file out of the bin, maybe get it to the desktop or where ever then try this>

Close all open applications.
Open a command prompt and navigate to the directory with the offending files.
Then open the Task Manager and click on the Processes tab. select "explorer.exe" under Image Name. Click "End Process".
That will leave you with only the command prompt and the task manager running.
Now at the Command Prompt, its time to delete the file(s). Using the DEL command. Example c:>\movies\DEL movie.avi
Now the files are deleted, go to the task manager and click on the Applications tab. Click the "New Task" button. in the dialog, type explorer.exe and click OK.

For folders the command is 'rd'.
