Has anyone worked with the BSTR class?

Has anyone worked with the BSTR class? I wonder what sort of strig manipulation methods are available with the BSTR class?

I do not mean converting from one sort of string class to another. I want to know how to do something like, comparing the first 4 characters of one BSTR class with another or a set of 4 characters in quotes.
