/me slaps Grandmaster with a trout

I'll have you know theres a whole 5ft wide book case like thing at the Apple Store with Mac games on it, we are catching up to the number of PS3 only titles

You know for all the commercials that show the Apple's/Mac's ability to do all kinds of fun stuff and Windows' inability to be fun it's interesting that MicroSquish won't do any in kind showing all the cool games that can run on Windows and not on a Mac.

probably because they don't feel they need to take market share from Apple yet

Anyone have a machine they think will run it?! I don't somehow think the 950 chipset in my Mini will be able to even launch the menu screen :p
Haha...I'd be quite surprised if they can pull it off on the Intel GMAs. :D
The X1900 XT in the Mac Pro should probably be able to handle it though.

Hehe, I'm still going to try it, just for fun :)

As for the Mac games library, I agree, it's never been impressive, but it's certainly sufficient for anyone except hardcore gamers. Games really belong on consoles anyway, but that's a different matter :)

I hate games on the console, just does not feel right for me. Then again, I really don't game much anyway.

hrmm precision sniping in hitman with a console, no thanks

I thoroughly enjoyed 'Blood Money' on the 360, snipage is tweaked for controllers :D

On a related note, I'll be interested to see how Gears lends itself to the keyboard and mouse, also how UT3 fairs on with a controller :)

I think they izz settin these games for the Mac 'cause Le Big Mac now has an Intel under da hood, plus better/badder vid cards to go with it. Nothin like insane horsepower to bring out games.

Indeed, but who - apart from people with more money than sense - has a Mac Pro at home? Sure, the games will run on an iMac, but for truly smooth gaming, you're really going to need the power of the Mac Pro for some of the upcoming games.

Currently the most popular selling machine (MacBook) only has a shared-memory Intel graphics chip on board, which just doesn't cut it.

MacPro with 4 GFx cards, 4 750gb hard drives, two 30" cinema displays, 16GB of RAM, now that'd be fun

With any luck Apple will realize this and stick something better into them, the Radeon card in my iBook is stronger than this intel thinger I'm sure.

Even tried C&C Generals in a Windows BootCamp and it just locked when I selected Multiplayer->Network and this was on the lowest resolution settings. Tried a friends copy of the Mac version a while back on my iBook and that was fine. Only problem with the Mac version of Generals is that the multiplayer component isnt cross platform, ie Windows can only play Windows and Mac can only play Mac. Well done there EA ;)
Then again the network code has usually been the weakest portion of any EA game I've played to date.

I agree, from my personal testing with various games, the iBook Radeon does indeed kick the Intel chips arse. :(

Also Hi EP and people. I found this place again while looking through a oooollllllldddd backup. I have filled over 10TB and was looking at my collection of antiques. Any bids on the 500Mhz Win 95 fix?
Any of the SP crew still out there?
