Thats cool for peeps who cant afford a putter , where I work we give ours to day care centers and schools this year we were giving away the 733mhz with 40gig hard drives windows 98 and office 97 installed with cd's and licences.

Isn't 40 gig hard drives a little big for a computer like that?

Either way I like the idea of people giving away computers to schools and stuff.

Yes all of the hard drives that came with the computers died rather quickly and were all replaced by 40 gig , now all our new machines have 80 gig SATA drives and no one needs more then 10 gig max everyone is forced to save to server allocated space where it is backed up every night. Just that we cant buy 20 gig hard drives anymore it really is a wasted space , pci express ddr2 and sata for office use imagine that .

Also, although you said SATA, the price difference between 40GB and 80GB is like 5 or 6 bucks, such a worthwhile upgrade. (For IDE)

When we put the 40 gigs in 80 gigs were alot more then 5-6 bucks more we put those 40 gigs in about 2 years ago.
