Found New Hardware Wizard HELP!!

installed a new printer 2 wks ago no problem w/ install or use,
but everytime i boot up the new hardware wizard opens and wants to start installling the printer even though it's already up
and running w/ no problems. i really would like to give the old wiz
a rest! so, can someone tell me how to stop the new hardware
install from popping up all the time ?

Never turn your computer off 😛 . just kidding. USB connection? I believe there's a new windows update out that addresses usb devices... I glanced at an article about it here:

You'll want to make sure your bios is all up to date along with all your IDE, etc device drivers.

thanks for your reply, but the wiz still refuses to go away! went to
thread downloaded and installed files,rebooted, and the wiz just
keeps on trying to install the printer,and i'm beginning to get a little annoyed @ having to cancel the install , maybe i'll just never
ever turn my puter off!any thing else i can try?

just put this system togather so bios is about 5 months old but
i really don't want to flash it if i don't have to,everything else is
up to date

follow the wizard and you got two options
1. to point the drivers to the printer cd
2. to letit go on and then putting the so called new device under the ! or ? catagory

either way you shouldnt get the msg once done
if ure pleaed the way its printing, then carry on the wizard until u see somethinglike windowscouldnot find a suitable driver and you have the finish button

if its not working, then point to the driver cd when asked to.
