Explorer View

This has been driving me nuts since installing XP -

Is there a way that I can configure Explorer to open the way it did in win95/98 - folders on left , files on right - instead of having XP task options set on left side. Clicking 'Folders' is a small thing to have to do, but it does my head in to have to keep doing it.

You can still open explorer that way. Just hold the window key on your keyboard and press E. That opens windows explorer. What you're doing is just opening a folder, from the sound of it. You can also set your folders to standard view, as well. (In your folder options)

W Explorer has always open with the folders on the left on mine.
I don't see a way to chage that even if I wanted to. 🙂

click on the button at the top that says folders. it toggels folder view or frequent tasks view
