encoder does not work in xp

hello everybody

could somebody help me? I use winxp and win2k. When i want to encode cd's in mp3 i used to do it with cdex. But when i want to use it under xp the program goes crazy. So i am searching for an encoder that can retrieve de names from the songs and artist from a database, en then encode it. Because i dont wanna typ all my id3tags.
